Echora Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are provided for general information and are not legal advice.
1. Who provides Echora
Echora is provided by YONGWEI RUAN ("Echora", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Echora mobile application, related websites, and related services.
2. What Echora does
Echora is a thought-recording and AI reflection app. It helps you save text, image, and voice entries, organize your ideas, surface related thoughts, and generate reflective summaries.
Echora is not a medical device, therapy service, mental-health provider, legal adviser, financial adviser, or emergency service. AI-generated reflections may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not suitable for your situation. You should not rely on Echora for diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, or professional advice.
3. Your account
You may use Echora through supported sign-in methods, including Apple, Google, email code sign-in, or guest access where available. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens through your account.
Guest access may create an anonymous account so Echora can save your entries and apply usage limits. Guest accounts may have fewer features and lower limits than signed-in accounts.
4. Your content
"Your Content" means thoughts, text, images, audio, profile information, and other material you submit to Echora. You keep ownership of Your Content. By using Echora, you give us permission to host, process, analyze, store, display, and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate, improve, protect, and provide Echora.
You are responsible for Your Content. Do not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, or that violates another person's privacy or rights.
5. AI features
Echora may use third-party AI providers and backend services after required permission is obtained to process entries, transcribe voice recordings, generate categories, create embeddings, connect related thoughts, support Review conversations, and produce reflections. Current image attachments are stored privately and are not sent for AI image analysis. AI results are generated probabilistically and may be wrong. Treat AI output as a starting point for your own reflection, not as fact or professional guidance.
6. Free and Pro plans
Echora may offer a free plan and paid Echora Pro subscriptions. Free usage may be limited by daily, monthly, media, AI, or review quotas. Echora Pro gives you more room for continued recording, AI organization, image and voice entries, Daily Review, related ideas, and future Pro features, subject to fair-use limits that help keep the service stable.
We may change plan names, limits, features, prices, or availability over time. Changes will not remove your ability to view your existing saved thoughts, except where required for security, legal compliance, account deletion, or service integrity.
7. Auto-renewable subscriptions
Echora Pro may be offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store. Subscription prices, duration, renewal terms, taxes, and billing details are shown in the App Store purchase flow before you confirm payment.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings or at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.
- Deleting your Echora account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Echora, interfere with the service, attempt to bypass quotas or security controls, reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law, use Echora to develop competing models or services in violation of applicable terms, or upload content that you do not have the right to upload.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and delete information. By using Echora, you also agree to the Privacy Policy at Privacy Policy.
10. Account deletion
You can initiate account deletion from Echora's account settings. Account deletion removes your Echora account and associated personal data from our active records, except where we must keep limited information for legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons. 11. Service availability
Echora may be interrupted, delayed, unavailable, or changed from time to time. AI providers, payment providers, authentication providers, network conditions, and app-store systems may also affect availability. We do not guarantee that Echora will always be available or error-free.
12. Termination
You may stop using Echora at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users or the service, or if we must do so for legal or security reasons.
13. Disclaimers
Echora is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Echora and YONGWEI RUAN will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or service interruption arising from or related to your use of Echora.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as updating the effective date, posting a notice, or showing an in-app message. Continued use of Echora after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
